The Tempest Tourch
Created as a decorative outdoor furnishing for a wide array of exterior settings and applications, the Tempest Torch is designed to create the ultimate in lighting enhancement. The display possibilities are nearly endless; outdoor living spaces, retail or business store fronts, walkway pillars, pool areas, mounted onto movable bases or featured on an exterior wall or entry.
The Tempest Torch comes in two version: A very easy manual light system or an electronic ignition version that allows multiple units to be turned on/off by the flip of a light switch or can be tied into your homes automated lighting system.
How it works
A. Natural Venturi Effect As the flames rise, the natural Venturi effect will cause the flames to spiral and dance within the tempered glass walls.
B. Stainless Steel Construction Designed for durability and long life combined with clean contemporary lines. * Optional rain cap provided at no additional cost
C. 3-Ring Burner Head Circular stainless steel burner designed to enhance the spinning flames as they raise off the burner.
D. Ingenious Concealed Tension Springs Allows for easy removal of tempered glass for cleaning and service.
E. Gas Control Valve Provided ON/OFF and variable flame height control of the flame.
F. Dry Weather Igniter After engaging gas, simply twist the Piezo igniter to light the torch. Access for a wand lighter is provided to light the torch in all weather conditions.
Minimum Clearances To Combustibles
- Lumens: The Tempest Torch emits 25 lumens of light. To give a visual comparison your standard incandescent 4 watt kids nightlight gives of about 20 lumens, and a 100 watt light bulb gives off about 1500 lumens.
- Floor: 2.5” clearance from floor to bottom (base) of Tempest Torch.
- Walls: 8” clearance measured from glass surface to walls.
- Ceiling: 26” clearance measured from the Tempest Torch top
(glass frame) with or without the cap. (Refer to the Owner’s Manual for further details).
The Tempest Table Top Torch™
A small tabletop version of the Tempest Torch shows the spinning, spiral-like flame fueled by a small can of gel fuel. This model can be burned inside in well ventilated areas or outside for a beautiful presentation of fire and light wherever you display it.
The Gel fuel is non-toxic and clean-burning so there’s no clean-up required. The Gel fuel provides roughly 1 1/2 - 2 hours of burn time, and can be purchased at most home improvement stores.
